The most successful Czech crew cross-country Rallye Miroslav Zapletal - Tomas Ourednicek reached the 4.th place overall in FIA World Cup

Mirek Zapletal and Tomas Ourednicek scored a great succes at a prologue of Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge. In the cocpit of their Mitsubishi L 200 they reached 3rd position. The winner of this prologue is S. Peterhansel in his Mini and the second position belongs to L. Novitsky in BMW X3. Final positions and times can be found here. As soon as Mirek Zapletal and Tomas Ourednicek got back  from Italy from the first BAJA race of the FIA world championship of this year, they just set out for a new adventure. For the first time in their career they are heading to Abu Dhabi to take part in the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge.  After 15-month-long brake they again will  drive their Mitsubishi L 200 in which they crashed down  in the 2010 Dakar Rally.

Yes, it is true !!! After 15 months Mirek Zapletal together with Tomas Ourednicek are back again in the new racing cockpit.

Mirek bought a new racing special to his team. This is BMW X3, which will participate in Italian Baja (17. – 20. 3.) and Rallye de Tunisie ( 1. 5. – 6. 5.), because Mitsubishi L200 Strakar is on a deck of a ship, which steers to Dubai.
