Accident of OffroadSport cz crew!

On 6th stage of rallye Dakar 2010 had Miroslav Zapletal and Tomas Ourednicek serious accident. Their Mitsubishi L200 jumped into the big whole.

So far was crew Zapletal- Ourednicek very succsesful. They kept around great 25th position.

Tomas Ourednicek immediately called assistance by Iritrack and help Miroslav Zapletal to get out from car.

Within 5 minutes helicopter arrived and took both of them to bivouac. Organizers trasported Miroslav to clinic in Iquique, but doctors decided he has to go to bigger hospital in Santiago de Chile for spinal surgery.

Miroslav Zapletal was operated on 8th January and he spent couple of days at intensive care unit.

After fresh news was Miroslav Zapletal moved from intensive care unit to a normal hospital room. He try to walk and do exercise with assistance of nurs. If everything will be ok, they will transport him to Czech republic in the beginning of next week.

Tomas Ourednicek is already back in Czech republic, but he went to surgical ambulance because of big spinal pain. Tomas will stay in hospital for couple of days and he will undergo few medical examination.

Mechanics of Offroadsport cz team are still in South America following rallye Dakar 2010 convoy to Buenos Aires. They will fly back home on 19th January.
