Miroslav Zapletal´s great season continues!

After the success of the Dakar 2nd in Europe

Another historic accomplishment received Czech pilot, quadruple Czech champion in Cross Country Rally Miroslav Zapletal. In the best season of his career, he could fight for title of Europe Champion! The champion title won Russian Boris Gadasin, third place received Dutch rider Tonnie Van Deijne.

Miroslav Zapletal with navigator Tomas Ourednicek could even think of the European title. Unfortunately broke on they racing Mitsubishi L200 absorber and they could not continue in this final Race Baja Portalegre.

"I've never been so close to gold as this season. In the last mile of SS car started to behave abnormally. There were huge inequalities wounds at each impact of the crossing. For sure, I stopped. Unfortunately, first glance on the right rear wheel meant the end of the competition. Absorber broke so badly that threatened to puncture the tank. With such a big risk we could not continue in the race." comments the race pilot Miroslav Zapletal.

Miroslav Zapletal ended with this second place in International Cup for Cross Country Bajas the most successful year of his career. This year's season began a historic achievement on Dakar Rally when he finished on 7th in absolute order and on 3rd place in the category T1.1. The defeat of two strong factory teams, Mitsubishi and BMW,become a historic milestone in the Czech participation in the famous desert rally.

This year's collection of Miroslav Zapletal and his team OffroadSport CZ includes fourth title of Czech Republic Champion and Hungarian first championship title in a very strong competition. This year's great form brought him the 2nd place in the Central European Zone and 2 place in the European Baja Cup, is Czech pilot currently ranked among the 10 most successful riders of the world.
